Rebecca Ross, Tempe (USA)

Rebecca Ross has received many awards including a Visual Arts Fellowship, two Artist Project Grants, a Research and Development Grant and an Opportunity Grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts. Ross has completed 15 public art projects. Nominated for a Governor’s Art Award for her collaborative mural project on Tempe’s Rio Salado, Ross often works with community members as participants, volunteers, and makers. Her projects have included ceramics; poetry; Morse Code; photographs on tile, porcelain-enameled steel, photographs on dyed aluminum; visual Braille; glass tile; and water features. Ross’ photographs have appeared in over 150 juried and invitational exhibitions nationally and abroad at venues such as the Eye Gallery, San Francisco; Society for Contemporary Photography, Kansas City; and the Canon Photo Gallery, Amsterdam. Her work is also included in a number of major art collections including the Museum of Fine Arts-Houston, Mayo Clinic-Scottsdale, and the Harry Ransom Center in Austin, Texas. Her book of photographs with poet Cynthia Hogue, When the Water Came: Evacuees of Hurricane Katrina, was published by University of New Orleans Press in 2010. A teaching artist for more than 30 years, her teaching and work with disadvantaged youth has been recognized by Center in Santa Fe and Scottsdale Cultural Council.

Philipp & Stefan Santifaller , Brixen (I)

Die Brüder Philipp & Stefan Santifaller verbinden die Zahlen 8 und 5. Beide sind am 08.05. geboren. Exakt 8 Jahre und 5 Minuten getrennt voneinander. Seit ihres Kindesalters verbringen die beiden sehr viel Zeit in der Südtiroler Bergwelt und leben die in den 70er und 80er Jahren ausgeübte Landschaftsmalerei des Vaters in Form der Landschafts- und Kunstfotografie weiter. Philipp studierte Bauingenieurswesen and der Universität in Innsbruck sowie Management an der Universität in Salzburg. Der technische Hintergrund, die Begeisterung für Management sowie die Liebe für die Fotografie schaffen eine besondere Vernetzung. Stefan studierte Management, Communication & IT am Management Center Innsbruck und blickt auf ereignisreiche Jahre im Leistungssport zurück. Nach einem körperlichen langwierigen Rückschlag findet er dank seines Bruders die Begeisterung für die Fotografie, die seine besondere Sichtweise und Leidenschaft für Outdoor-Sport-Projekte widerspiegelt. Ihre erste gemeinsame Einzelausstellung “ÌSLAND” eröffnete 2016 in der Galerie90 in Südtirol. Weitere Ausstellungen folgten in den darauffolgenden Jahren. Neben ihren Ausstellungen hatten Philipp & Stefan unter anderem Publikationen in lokalen Magazinen: Franz Magazin, Dolomiten-Magazin, Die Südtirolerin. Seit März 2023 machen die beiden ihre Schaffen zum Hauptberuf und suchen Möglichkeiten für den Schritt auf internationale Bühnen und den Eintritt in internationale Galerien.

Balázs Zoltán Tóth, Chief Museologist
Balázs Zoltán Tóth, Chief Museologist, Budapest (HU)
Museum of Fine Arts Budapest – Central European Research Institute for Art History (KEMKI)

He graduated in 2005 from the Department of Hungarian Language and Literature at SZTE BTK and from the Department of Cultural Organising and Media at SZTE-JGYTFK. In 2008-2010 he was a student of The Getty Conservation Institute, Los Angeles and the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava: The Fundamentals of the Conservation of Photographs. In 2013, he was on fellowship at NEDCC, Andover, USA. In 2019, he received his PhD in Aesthetics from the ELTE BTK Doctoral School of Philosophy.

As a writer, editor and curator, he is an active participant in the Hungarian photographic scene. From 2008 until 2015 he was a member of the Studio of Young Photographers, of which he was a board member from 2011 until 2013. From 2005 until 2019 he worked as a research associate at the Hungarian Museum of Photography, and in 2018-2019 as curator at the Mai Manó House. He is a member of the Hungarian Society for the History of Photography since 2020. He has taught at several universities and is currently a guest lecturer at the Metropolitan University. As of 2022, he is the Chief Museologist of the Photo Archive of KEMKI Archive and Documentation Center (ADK).
