Je suis photographe depuis presque 40 ans. Pourtant la photographie ne m’est pas un médium familier. Produire une image du monde ne me semble pas aller de soi.

Depuis quelques années, je construis des espaces que je photographie, de grandes sculptures en contreplaqué, des paradigmes d’espaces habitables, en fonction d’un dessin préalable.

Entre l’espace et son image photographique s’établit peu à peu une dichotomie, une impossibilité de ressemblance : l’espace est tordu et aberrant, alors que sur l’image qui en résulte il semble simple et cohérent. Jusqu’à quel point puis-je tordre le réel et pour autant, toujours obtenir l’image d’un espace logique et pénétrable?

Chaque photographie est le résultat d’une expérience.

I'm a photographer for almost 40 years. Yet photography is not a medium I'm familiar with. Producing an image of the world is not something that seems obvious to me.

For some years now, I've been building spaces I photograph - large plywood sculptures, paradigms of habitable spaces - according to a preliminary drawing.

Little by little, a dichotomy takes place between the space and its photographic image, an impossibility of resemblance : the space is twisted and aberrant, while in the resulting image it appears simple and coherent. How far can I twist reality and still obtain the image of a logical, penetrable space?

Every photograph is the result of an experiment.

Die französische Künstlerin stellt ihre Arbeit vor. Fotografien, die man als konzeptionell bezeichnen kann. Ihre plakativen Inszenierungen, die manchmal absurd wirken, gleichzeitig aber äußerst präzise, perfekt und stimmig sind, erinnern an Theaterszenen. Ihre rätselhaften Erzählmomente, ihre unwirklichen, im Atelier gebauten Räume, die Perspektive und Logik verzerren, ziehen den Betrachter in einen mentalen Raum.
